The base Grass-fed beef tallow Grass-fed tallow is the rich, moisturizing base of the jar.

Deeply nourishes and softens skin. We whip it until it’s light and airy. A little sinks in without feeling heavy or greasy.

The glide Jojoba oil Jojoba oil comes from the seeds of the jojoba plant.

It does two jobs here: it carries the calendula infusion, and it gives the whipped tallow a smooth glide, so a little spreads easily. It also helps soften skin.
The infusion Calendula flowers Calendula, also called pot marigold, is a bright orange and yellow flower.

We infuse the flowers into the jojoba oil before it’s blended with the tallow, and on the label they follow the oil they’re infused in. Calendula has been part of the recipe since Jack’s first batch.
The scent: Vanilla Orange Vanilla and sweet orange Vanilla and sweet orange make a warm, sweet citrus scent.

Vanilla oleoresin is a thick, concentrated extract of vanilla beans, and it carries the warm vanilla note. Sweet orange essential oil comes from orange peel and adds the bright citrus.

The scent: Unscented No added scent This option’s label stops at the three base ingredients.

The scent: Lavender Lavender essential oil Lavender essential oil is distilled from lavender flowers.

It’s the only scent ingredient in this option and gives a soft, floral scent.

The scent: Cedarwood Vanilla Cedarwood and vanilla Cedarwood and vanilla make a cozy, woodsy-sweet scent.

Atlas cedarwood essential oil is distilled from the wood of the Atlas cedar and brings a warm, woody note. Vanilla oleoresin, a thick extract of vanilla beans, adds sweetness.

The scent: Citrus Blend Lemon, grapefruit and orange Three citrus oils make a bright, fresh citrus scent.

Lemon, pink grapefruit and sweet orange essential oils each come from citrus peel.

The scent: Eucalyptus Mint Eucalyptus and peppermint Eucalyptus and peppermint make a cool, herbal scent.

Eucalyptus globulus essential oil comes from the leaves of the blue gum eucalyptus, and peppermint essential oil from peppermint leaves.

Which size should I choose?

The 1.5 oz jar is a smaller way to try Whipped Tallow. The 3.0 oz jar gives you twice as much moisturizer for regular use on face, hands and body. Both sizes use the same formula within each scent. How long a jar lasts depends on how much you use and where you apply it.

Will it feel heavy or greasy on my skin?

It feels light and airy in the jar, then softens into a rich moisturizer as you warm it between your fingers. Start small and give it time to settle before adding more.

Does Unscented smell like tallow?

It may. Unscented contains grass-fed beef tallow, organic jojoba oil and organic calendula flowers, with no added fragrance or essential oils, so you may notice the natural scent of the ingredients. If you’d like a light scent, Lavender adds organic lavender essential oil. If it isn’t right for you, you can ask for a refund within 30 days of delivery.

Can I use it every day?

Yes. Whipped Tallow is a daily moisturizer for your face, hands and body. Massage a small amount onto clean, dry skin and add more where you need it.

Where can I check the ingredients for my scent?

Read the full ingredient list for your selected product and scent. Ingredients marked organic on the package label are listed as “Organic.” Ingredients vary across products and scents.

What should I do if it arrives softened?

Whipped Tallow can soften in warm weather. Keep the jar upright and let it cool until firm before opening. For Vanilla Orange Whipped Tallow, ordinary warm-weather softening may change the whipped texture while it continues to nourish and moisturize. Contact us if you have concerns about the condition of your jar.
