Built for skin like mine.
I'm Jack. I grew up with dry, sensitive-feeling skin that never got along with the long, unpronounceable ingredient lists on most lotions. The more I learned, the more it came back to one simple idea: skin recognizes real, whole fats.
So we built Tall Owl around grass-fed tallow and a short list of ingredients you can actually read - handcrafted in small batches here in Colorado. No fillers, nothing your skin has to work to understand.

How is it different from petroleum-based lip balm?
The base is grass-fed tallow + beeswax + plant oils instead of petroleum or paraffin. It softens on contact with less waxy drag and no slippery film.
Does it have a glossy or matte finish?
A soft natural finish - not glossy, not matte. It looks like skin, not a coating.
Will it sting cracked or chapped lips?
No. The short ingredient list was built for sensitive use. Apply a light layer, let it absorb, repeat as needed.
Is it pregnancy and nursing safe?
Yes for the Unscented and most scented variants. If you are sensitive to essential oils, choose Unscented to be safe.
What if my balm melts during shipping?
Because our balms are made with real tallow, oils, butters, and waxes, they can soften in warm weather. If this happens, place the product upright at room temperature or in the refrigerator until firm. The texture may change slightly, but the product is still good to use.
