I'm Jack. I grew up with dry, sensitive-feeling skin that never got along with the long, unpronounceable ingredient lists on most lotions. The more I learned, the more it came back to one simple idea: skin recognizes real, whole fats.

So we built Tall Owl around grass-fed tallow and a short list of ingredients you can actually read - handcrafted in small batches here in Colorado. No fillers, no synthetic fragrance, nothing your skin has to work to understand.

Body Balm vs Whipped Tallow - which should I pick?

Body Balm is the richer, firmer balm built for problem zones: hands, elbows, knees, heels, shins. Whipped Tallow is the lighter daily jar for face and full-body moisture. Many shoppers use both.

Can I use it on my face?

You can, but it is built for the body. The texture is firmer than what most face routines want day-to-day. For face, reach for Whipped Tallow instead.

Will it stain clothes or sheets?

Used in moderation, no. Body Balm absorbs over a few minutes. If you apply heavily before bed, let it sink in for 10 minutes before getting under sheets.

How is it different from a drugstore balm?
