Our story

Why we call it Freedom.

I'm Jack. I grew up with dry, itchy, sensitive-feeling skin and a cabinet full of lotions with labels I couldn't pronounce - and none of them worked. Eventually I stopped waiting on the big brands and did the most American thing I could think of: I broke from the old way and made my own.

That is the spirit behind Tall Owl - if what you're handed isn't working, declare your independence and forge your own path. Freedom Balm is its fullest form: grass-fed tallow, mango and cacao butter, beeswax, and a short list of ingredients you can actually read. No fillers, no synthetic fragrance, nothing your skin has to fight.

We make it by hand, in small batches, here in the USA - in Colorado, our home. Two kinds of freedom in one jar: free from dry, cracked skin, and free from the fillers and synthetic fragrance that never belonged on your skin.
